Developmental Editing
Developmental editing addresses the big-picture elements of your manuscript: structure, pacing, character development, thematic coherence, and narrative arc. This isn't about commas and typos—it's about making sure your story works.
What I Offer
Comprehensive Manuscript Review
I read your full manuscript with the attention of both an editor and a fellow writer. I'm looking at what's working, what's not, and why.
Detailed Editorial Letter
You'll receive an 8-15 page letter addressing the major elements of your manuscript: structure, character, voice, pacing, theme, and more. This isn't a list of problems—it's a roadmap for revision.
Annotated Manuscript
In-line comments throughout your manuscript highlighting specific passages, asking questions, and noting patterns.
Follow-up Consultation
A 60-minute call to discuss the feedback, answer questions, and plan your revision.
My Approach

I read generously. I edit honestly. I believe every manuscript deserves a reader who takes it seriously.
